The Crafty Cold Well was our final stop of the night in Monkseaton. This is the sole entry for Monkseaton in the Good Beer Guide, when there could easily be 3 entries.
This micropub is a decent size with a front room and then another room to the rear containing the bar and up a few steps. 5 cask ales were on - Darwin Well Hopped Pale, Alnwick Pale Ale & Stout, Ossett White Rat & Two By Two Dragonfly Pale. The cider was Lilley's Rhubarb.
Craft beers on were Bristol Beer Factory Clear Head, Triple Point Cryo, New Bristol Wonderland & Duvet Vous, Two By Two Snake Eyes & Beavertown Neck Oil.
Things were getting a little hazy by this stage, but I do recall a friendly young barmaid and my Alnwick Stout was better than the stout I'd had in the Front Street Tap House, but for some reason it still didn't quite hit the spot. Another decent Monkseaton micropub though.
